  5.     Orpheus is an advanced, writer-friendly authoring system for makers of
  6.     online manuals and tutorials, electronic books, and all other kinds of
  7.     hypertext writing.  Whether you are a veteran of hypertext or a first-
  8.     time author, Orpheus can help you get those great ideas out of the air
  9.     and into silicon.

  11.     The system consists of two programs:  Orpheus Author, an Integrated
  12.     Development Environment for hypertext writers; and the Orpheus Reader,
  13.     a program for you to distribute with your finished books in compiled
  14.     form.  Orpheus Author requires a hard disk; the Reader does not.

  42.     The sample electronic book "Introducing Orpheus" demonstrates some of
  43.     the principle features of Orpheus.  To read it, give the following
  44.     command at the DOS prompt:

  48.     Orpheus is distributed as shareware and costs $49.  You are welcome to
  49.     evaluate Orpheus for up to 30 days, after which you are expected to
  50.     register the software if you wish to continue using it.  You are also
  51.     welcome to make copies for friends or to upload it to BBS's, provided
  52.     you share only the complete, unaltered system as you received it.

  76.     NOTE: compiled works created with Version 1.00 of Orpheus are not
  77.     compatible with this version of the Orpheus Reader.  If you are
  78.     updating from that version, be sure to get the entire package.

  80.     SUPPORT BBS:
  81.     Yes, Orpheus now has an official support BBS, thanks to Synapse, a 20-line
  82.     BBS located in Gatineau, Quebec (Canada).  To obtain the latest version
  83.     of Orpheus or to leave messages in the Orpheus Support conference (#1022),
  84.     have your computer call one of the numbers below.  When prompted for
  85.     your name, enter "ORPHEUS USER".  When prompted for your password, enter
  86.     "VISITOR".  Synapse will grant you immediate download privileges.  Since
  87.     all Orpheus files will begin with the letters "ORPH", look for the latest
  88.     version by giving the command "L ORPH*.*" (meaning Locate all Orpheus 
  89.     files).  When asked which directory to search, answer 68 (Recent Uploads)
  90.     or All.
